ADA-ATM class action against credit union dismissed

A class action lawsuit alleging that the ATMs of Pittsburgh-based Century Heritage FCU violated the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) was recently dismissed before a federal court in Pennsylvania, according to a Credit Union National Association (CUNA) press release. The credit union signed a consent decree in which it agreed to update its ATMs within 90 days to comply with ADA requirements, the release said. The plaintiff filed similar suits against at least seven other financial institutions.
