Searches of students and employees entail new risks as courts question whether educational institutions are proxies for law enforcement and must be held to higher standards. This panel reviews the current state of the law relating to searches of student/employee bags, purses, backpacks, electronics, clothing and motor vehicles, drug and alcohol tests and random searches.

Overview of the benefits and challenges with using Design-Build and Construction Manager at Risk procurement on construction projects. 

2:00-2:45 p.m. - Title IX: Athletics and More, Melissa Carleton and Beverly Meyer
Are you monitoring athletic expenditures for Title IX compliance, and since when does Title IX relate to sexual assault? We'll take a look at Title IX requirements to understand how to reduce risk and liability.

2:45-3:30 p.m. - Financing Options for School Districts, Matt Stout and Jackie Lewis
School districts have a variety of options for financing capital projects. This presentation will examine and discuss those options.
