Government reform: restructuring counties and cities to boost economic development at the OEDA Annual Summit

Bricker & Eckler is a proud sponsor of the The Ohio Economic Development Association's awards luncheon, an annual excellence awards program that recognizes the achievements of individuals and organizations in Ohio in the areas of economic and workforce development. The event takes place on Thursday, October 22.

In addition, Bricker attorneys Shannon Martin and Bill Mason will present "Government reform: restructuring counties and cities to boost economic development" on Wednesday, October 21, in the Franklin Ballroom of the Columbus Marriott Northwest from 2:15 p.m. to 3:15 p.m.

The session will consist of a case study of the reform of the Cuyahoga County government and its adoption of a charter mandating county leadership of economic development. Also presented will be an overview of the current effort to merge Montgomery County and one or more of its municipalities into a unified county-wide metro government, for improved collaboration in economic development and other improvements.
