Update: Training To Be Held Online!

This condensed version of our two-day training workshop will use scenario materials (sent to participants to review in advance) as the basis for investigator training.

We will discuss the current state of Title IX law, regulations, guidance and how the Clery regulations affect their tasks as investigators. Investigators will discuss the elements of various types of sexual misconduct, how to ask appropriate questions to elicit information from parties and witnesses, how to write clear review summaries and how to highlight credibility disputes for resolution by the fact finder.

This workshop is appropriate for higher education professionals who will be conducting Title IX investigations. It will also provide foundational skills to those who will be adjudicating Title IX cases or hearing appeals.

This workshop, which was originally scheduled to be held at the University of Findlay, will now be held via Zoom.  Attendees can participate in discussions, ask questions, and get trained while honoring their institutional limitations on travel.
