Andy Shott joins Bricker & Eckler LLP

Cincinnati, Ohio … Andy Shott has joined the law firm of Bricker & Eckler LLP as a partner in the real estate practice group, working out of the firm’s West Chester office. Practicing law for over 28 years with the law firm of Strauss & Troy in Cincinnati, Shott’s real estate and finance experience is vast and diverse, serving a national client base. His practice focuses on real estate development and finance, commercial law, housing development, equity syndication and land use planning. Shott has extensive experience in federally-assisted housing development and operation law. 

Specifically, Shott assists clients with successful planning, zoning, finance, construction, management, purchase and sale of a wide variety of real estate developments, including multi-family housing, historic renovation, low income tax credit housing, office development, retail centers and industrial properties. He also represents clients in real estate valuation appeals before county and state administrative agencies and courts.

Shott graduated from University of Virginia in 1977 with high distinction and went on to earn his law degree from University of Virginia’s Law School in 1981. Prior to joining Bricker, he was the head of Strauss & Troy’s Real Estate Department and served in a variety of leadership roles with the firm. 

As a good steward of his community, Shott served as Chairman of the Board of Trustees for Cedar Village, where he continues as an Executive Board Member. He is also an active member of the Board of Trustees for Halom House and for the Jewish Federation of Cincinnati.

Shott is an active and recognized member of his profession. As such, he is a member of the American and Cincinnati Bar Associations. He has been named in Best Lawyers In America for real estate law and as A Super Lawyer in Ohio.
