Anne Marie Sferra tapped as president for Ohio civil defense attorney group

Columbus, Ohio – January 6, 2014 … Anne Marie Sferra has been named 2014 president of the Ohio Association of Civil Trial Attorneys (OACTA).

Sferra, a partner in Bricker & Eckler’s litigation group, was sworn in at the 2013 OACTA meeting. “We are pleased to have Anne Marie in such an important role in our industry,” said Kurt Tunnell, Bricker & Eckler’s managing partner. “Anne Marie’s extensive litigation experience will be of benefit to the OACTA membership.”

The first Columbus-area attorney to become certified as an Appellate Law Specialist by the Ohio State Bar Association, Sferra was a member of the legal counsel team to the 200-member Ohio Alliance for Civil Justice that supported reform to Ohio's tort law. She has represented the OACJ and numerous other organizations as amicus curiae in Ohio courts. Her full biography can be viewed here.
