Bricker & Eckler Associate Appointed as Vice Chair of the ABA’s Young Lawyers Division Committee on Business Law

Bricker & Eckler associate, Ali Haque, has been appointed as the American Bar Association’s (ABA) Young Lawyers Division’s Vice Chair to the Committee on Business Law. His term will run from August 2013 to August 2014.

The mission of the ABA’s Business Law Section is to serve the public and the profession by furthering the development and improvement of business law, educating members in business law and related professional responsibilities and helping Section members to serve their clients competently, efficiently and professionally.

In this role, Haque will assist the committee chair in operating and managing the committee, draft and implement the committee’s action plan, supervise the work of planning board members and serve as an ambassador to recruit and mentor younger attorneys.

Haque is a member of the Bricker & Eckler Litigation group and was a 2011 graduate of The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law. He is a former judicial extern for the Honorable Jeffrey S. Sutton of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 6th Circuit. He has also served internships with the American Civil Liberties Union and UBS Financial Services.
