Bricker expands its business law practice with addition of Tom Washbush and Brian Begg

Firm News

COLUMBUS, Ohio – Bricker & Eckler LLP recently welcomed two new attorneys with significant business law experience to the firm: Partner Tom Washbush and Associate Brian Begg.

Tom Washbush, who has been named partner with the firm, is a trusted advisor to company C-suite members on the integration of legal and business issues. A member of Bricker & Eckler’s Business Law team, his practice focuses on transformational events such as acquiring, selling, debt and equity financing and other growth-oriented vehicles and undertakings from emerging technology companies to well-established corporations. He also has substantial experience in capital market financing, lender representation and public financing including bond transactions, and economic development incentives.

A certified public accountant as well as an attorney, Begg’s practice focuses on corporate transactions, specifically concerning mergers and acquisitions. He also helps clients with general transactions, business tax matters and shareholder/owner issues.

“The addition of Tom Washbush is an important resource for our clients,” said Managing Partner Kurt Tunnell. “His stature among business leaders and his connections with the investment community run deep in the central Ohio market, and we look forward to offering our clients the added capabilities he and Brian Begg will bring to our already strong Business Law group.”

Washbush is enthusiastic about the move. “While Bricker & Eckler is a leading firm with a long tradition of serving business and government in Ohio, the firm also has been recognized recently for its innovation, and I look forward to becoming part of an exciting future,” he said.
