Catherine Swartz joins Bricker & Eckler

CLEVELAND, Ohio, Sept. 23, 2013: Catherine Swartz has joined Bricker & Eckler as an attorney in the firm’s Public Finance group. She comes to the firm with a solid background in public sector law with a focus on school finance and tax issues.

Catherine counsels governmental bodies – including cities, counties, school districts and the like – on matters related to tax levies, continuing disclosure filings, real estate, special assessments, public records, investment policies, sales and use tax and ethics. She works with school district clients on matters such as school finance, tuition and residency matters, open enrollment, public records law and board policy issues.

Catherine is a graduate of The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law, where she served as articles editor for The Ohio State Law Journal. She also holds a Bachelor’s degree from The College of Wooster. A good steward of her profession and community, Catherine is a board member for Stepstone Academy and a member of the University Heights Economic Development Committee. She is a graduate of the YWCA Women’s Leadership Boot Camp (Class of 2011) and Cleveland Bridge Builders (Class of 2005). Catherine is a member of the Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Association and the Ohio State Bar Association.
