James appointed Secretary of the Ohio State Bar Association Environmental Law Committee

Cleveland, Ohio —Robert K. James, an associate with the law firm of Bricker & Eckler, has been appointed as secretary of the Environmental Law Committee of the Ohio State Bar Association (OSBA).

James’ law practice focuses on environmental law, manufacturing and litigation. Specifically, he has experience in environmental regulation, enforcement defense and environmental compliance and consulting. He also assists with due diligence and the contracting provisions related to business and commercial real estate transactions.

In 2010, James served as co-chair of the planning committee for the OSBA’s 25th Annual Ohio Environment, Energy & Natural Resources Law Seminar. Additionally, he is a member of the Environmental Affairs Advisory Board for the city of Avon Lake, Ohio.

Prior to joining Bricker & Eckler, he was employed by the Office of the Ohio Attorney General, where he was an assistant attorney general in the Environmental Enforcement Section, and an assistant solicitor general in the Major Appeals Group.

James earned his B. A. from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio and his J.D. from The Catholic University of America, Columbus School of Law in Washington, D.C.
