Marjorie Yano Joins Bricker & Eckler

COLUMBUS, Ohio, July 12, 2013 – Marjorie Yano has joined Bricker & Eckler LLP as an attorney in the firm's Regulated Industries practice team in the law firm’s Columbus office. Marjorie’s practice will focus primarily on government relations matters.

Marjorie is a lawyer who has worked For the Ohio House of Representatives providing legal counsel to several committees including the House Judiciary, House Commerce, Labor & Technology and House Sub-Committee on Higher Education. Her experience in public policy and Ohio law stems back to posts as a fellow with the Ohio Legislative Service Commission and as a research assistant for the Greater Ohio Policy Center.

A two-time graduate of The Ohio State University, Marjorie earned her law degree from the Moritz College of Law and her Master of Arts in Public Policy and Management from the John Glenn School of Public Affairs. During law school, she spent a year as the editor-in-chief of I/S: A Journal of Law and Policy for the Information Society. Marjorie also holds a Bachelor’s degree in History and Political Science from Amherst College in Massachusetts.

Outside of work, Marjorie volunteers for Local Matters, a not-for-profit organization in central Ohio working to ensure access to healthful, affordable, and sustainably grown food.
