Ryan Smith Joins Bricker & Eckler

COLUMBUS, OHIO (May 22, 2013) -Ryan Smith has joined Bricker & Eckler LLP as an attorney in the firm's Regulated Industries group in the law firm’s Columbus office. Ryan’s practice will focus primarily on oil and gas matters.

Ryan is a lawyer who has worked as a legal intern for the Kansas Corporation Commission. In this role, he assisted on projects for territory swaps, pipeline tariff adjustments and high-voltage line siting. He will serve as a member of Bricker’s multidisciplinary Shale, Oil and Gas Task Force. In this capacity, Ryan will help clients protect their interests and address their legal needs relating to the shale boom in Ohio.

A native of Marietta, Ryan graduated from Marietta College with a degree in economics and earned a full scholarship to attend law school at Washburn University in Topeka, Kansas. While in law school, Ryan was named a Dawson Scholar and the recipient of the competitive Rocky Mountain Mineral Law Foundation’s Joe Rudd Scholarship. Additionally, he was the president of the Business Law Society at Washburn University Law School.
