Sprader receives 2017 Client Choice Award for legal work

Firm News

The International Law Office and Lexology has honored Bobbie Sprader, a partner with Bricker & Eckler LLP, with a 2017 Client Choice Award.

Established in 2005, the Client Choice Awards recognize those law firms and partners around the world that stand apart for the excellent client service they provide. The criteria for the awards focus on the ability to add real value to clients’ business above and beyond other players in the market. This year the research was expanded in order to choose winners by state and province in the U.S. and Canadian markets. Winners for 2017 were selected from among more than 2,500 individual client assessments.

Sprader's practice includes the defense of physicians and hospitals facing claims of medical negligence and wrongful death. In that role, she has over two decades of experience in the courtroom conducting jury trials, arguing to various appellate courts and arguing before the Ohio Supreme Court. She also provides a wide variety of litigation support to hospitals and various health care providers.

Sprader has been an invited speaker on legal issues relevant to the medical community. She has also testified before the Ohio Legislature several times on issues relevant to the medical community on behalf of the Ohio Hospital Association and the Ohio State Medical Association. Additionally, Sprader has spoken to various groups on behalf of other clients and organizations, such as the Ohio Society for Healthcare Risk Managers, the Ohio State Bar Association, the Ohio Osteopathic Association, the Society of Ohio Healthcare Attorneys, the Ohio Society for Healthcare Risk Managers, Ohio Association of Magistrates and the Columbus Bar Association.

Winners of the 2017 Client Choice Award are selected via a readership survey of International Law Office (ILO), Lexology in-house counsel subscribers, as well as all members of the Association of Corporate Counsel. Clients are asked to rate individual lawyers and law firms on the following client service criteria: quality of legal advice, value for money, commercial awareness, effective communication, billing transparency, tailored fee structures, response time, sharing of expertise and use of technology. Semifinalists are selected and asked to submit references. The research team from ILO conducts follow-up interviews and additional research to determine award winners.
