A Note Regarding Graydon on Tap

Article

For the past several years, Graydon has hosted a monthly happy hour called Graydon on Tap, in which we proudly feature local craft beverages and great food from the Cincinnati region.  During this time, we’ve sought to pay homage to those in the industry who have dedicated their lives to bringing us all the simple joys of getting together, sharing good times, and indulging in fine food and drinks.

With the outbreak of COVID-19, all of Ohio’s restaurants, bars, and breweries are now temporarily closed, and so too is Graydon on Tap. These are certainly challenging times for everyone, but the hurt is especially hard on Ohio’s hospitality industry.  During these times, we encourage everyone to follow the philosophy of Epictetus (who was a big fan of IPA’s, I’m sure), by keeping positive and spending time focusing on the things we can control, rather than the things we cannot.

For our clients Watershed Distillery of Columbus, OH, and Brain Brew Whiskey of Newtown, OH, this means using existing capabilities and some creativity to make and donate hand sanitizer to hospitals and first responders during a time of critical shortage.  We’ll drink to that very cool combination of innovation and generosity from our distilleries.

If you want to find a way to keep positive and help an ailing industry, we encourage you to support the guests we’ve featured previously at Graydon on Tap – buy a growler or two each week, take advantage of the places offering carry-out food, or buy a gift card to use at a later date.

For the sake of continued support, or merely curious minds, here is our complete list of  Graydon on Tap Vendors.

Ohio’s hospitality industry will not walk out of this unscathed, however let us focus on what we can control, which includes doing our part to help the industry during this unprecedented time.  Once this is all over, we look forward to seeing everyone at Graydon on Tap (or any place with good food and drinks) and enjoying the simple things when we’re together again.
