He represents clients before state public utility commissions and advises on regulatory compliance, permitting, and siting issues connected to energy infrastructure and renewable project development.
Griffen has experience representing industrial clients in utility commission proceedings and assisting with complex commercial litigation. He also supported natural gas utilities on rate cases and infrastructure-related recovery mechanisms.
Griffen’s background includes internships with a Fortune 50 energy company, where he evaluated commercial contracts, compliance matters, and data privacy issues, as well as with a federal regulatory agency in Washington, D.C., where he contributed to rulemakings, appeals, and policy development related to telecommunications and broadband access.
