Overview
Kristin Scaduto blends deep civil rights experience with a practical, solutions-driven approach, helping educational institutions navigate complex compliance challenges with clarity and confidence.
Kristin Scaduto is an attorney in Bricker Graydon’s Education Practice Group, working remotely from New Hampshire. She brings a strong background in civil rights compliance, institutional investigations, and higher education policy, with extensive experience applying federal statutes such as Title IX, Titles VI and VII of the Civil Rights Act, the Americans with Disabilities Act, and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act. Kristin advises educational institutions on discrimination and harassment matters, supports policy development, and helps clients navigate complex compliance environments with clarity and care.
Before joining Bricker Graydon, Kristin served as a Title IX Coordinator and Equity Officer for a large university where she oversaw all Title IX and sexual misconduct investigations, managed campus-wide compliance initiatives, and conducted climate assessments to strengthen prevention and awareness efforts. She regularly trained faculty, staff, and students on civil rights obligations and supervised external investigators on high-level matters. Her role also included supporting human resources investigations and ensuring institutional alignment with federal requirements such as the Clery Act and the Stop Campus Hazing Act.
Kristin has also worked as Resolution Counsel for a national insurer for educational institutions, managing a sizable portfolio of employment and student-related claims. She evaluated coverage and liability issues, represented insureds in mediations and settlement conferences, and provided guidance on claims strategy and resolution.
