Sam Edwards is an attorney in Bricker Graydon’s Education Practice Group, based in the firm’s Columbus office. He assists school districts and public institutions with legal research, policy analysis, and guidance on a wide range of education law matters. Before joining the firm as an attorney, Sam served as a law clerk and Law Fellow in the Education Practice Group, supporting attorneys with research, drafting, and client service needs.
Sam previously worked with the Ohio School Boards Association (OSBA) as a legal extern where he researched inquiries from superintendents and board members through the OSBA legal hotline and prepared case summaries for publication in the OSBA School Law Summary. He also served as a legal extern with the Center for Election Innovation and Research in Washington, D.C., conducting research on state legislative histories, supporting the Election Official Legal Defense Network, and drafting memoranda related to ongoing defamation litigation involving election administration vendors.
Sam earned his JD from The Ohio State University Michael E. Moritz College of Law, where he participated in the Washington, D.C. Summer Law Program and served as the 1L representative for the Education Law Society. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and History, cum laude, from Centre College. During his time at Centre, he completed an education policy study abroad program in Myanmar and Thailand, competed as a four-year varsity baseball athlete, and volunteered with the Centre Student Initiative for Inclusion.
