Steven R. Smith brings more than 35 years of experience advising clients in all aspects of commercial real estate transactions. He represents developers, lenders, borrowers, and tenants in matters involving acquisitions, financing, leasing, and development. His practice includes structuring deals, creating entities, managing title and due diligence, and negotiating complex agreements across a variety of asset types.

In his previous role representing a national multi-family investment and management company, Steven drafted and negotiated purchase and sale agreements, oversaw due diligence and financing with institutional lenders, and advised on leasing and operational issues. He also supported asset managers on matters such as easements, encroachments, and title disputes. He has represented clients in construction disputes, large-scale leasing for urban redevelopment projects, and loan transactions for banks and financial institutions. He also advised developers on acquisitions, zoning, and homeowner association documents, with a focus on both commercial and residential properties.

Steven has served on the Board of Trustees of Ohio Valley Residential Services, Inc for 20 years.  The non-profit company provides housing and services for adults with developmental disabilities.
